Nils de Barck 1863-1930
Stoneware vase with blue enamelled cover.
dimensions: 29 cm
Nils de Barck, artist born in Malmö in Sweden, trained in painting at the Jullian Academy. He discovered the work of Carriés around 1880 and therefore decided to settle in Puisaye in order to devote himself to ceramics with his friends Henri de Vallombruse and William Lee.
Our vase is presented with two other stoneware vases by Henri de Vallombruse. In this combination, we can sense the great intellectual and technical proximity between the two artists.
